I said “yes” to a man whose heart I barely knew —
and yet somehow, my soul already did.
Since then, we’ve built a life stitched together
with laughter, late-night talks, silent understandings,
and the kind of love that doesn’t need many words.
We’ve walked through sunshine and storms,
through seasons of joy and chapters of pain.
We’ve seen dreams come true,
and faced moments that tested every ounce of our strength.
But through it all, we stood — side by side —
never perfect, yet always together.
You have fought battles life unfairly handed you,
and you did it with courage that left me in awe.
Cancer tried to shake us,
but it only reminded me of the fire within you —
the fighter, the survivor,
the man whose strength is quiet but unbreakable.
You’re not one for grand expressions or flowery words,
yet your love shows up —
in the way you care for our family,
in the patience you show,
in the small things you do that speak louder than any “I love you” ever could.
You are a loving father,
a steady hand when I falter,
a calm presence when the world feels too loud.
You are, simply put,
the best human I have ever known.
So today, on our 22nd anniversary,
I want to say thank you —
for choosing me, for standing by me,
for loving me in your quiet, unwavering way.
Our love may not be perfect,
but it is real — it has endured, it has grown,
and it continues to be my greatest gift.
Here’s to us —
to every scar that made us stronger,
to every smile that kept us going,
to every tomorrow we’ll face together.
Happy 22nd anniversary, my love.
You are my heart, my home, and my forever.
